Healing Touched

by Dianne M. Del Giorno

Healing Touched is a spiritual memoir about loss, sacred touch, healing practices, prayer, renewal, and the wondrous presence of others who have left this world of gravity but remain as close as breath. Through stories that range from humorous to startling to grief-laced, the author explains how her gift of clairaudience prepared her for unexpected work in healing touch spiritual ministry—work she initially felt unfit to pursue. After the death of her husband, other spiritual gifts unfolded, creating ongoing connections with those who have died but who keep watch over those they love and will always love.

Healing Touched is available on Amazon Kindle for $3.99. You do not need a Kindle device to read it - you can download a Kindle app to your phone or tablet.

Ten by Twenty

by Dianne M. Del Giorno and Randy Fane

Ten by Twenty distills key practices of mindful living into ten gentle reminders. With brief phrases, each reminder invites you to a single focus: breath, inner attention, greetings, exchanges, words and silences, judgments, beliefs, forgiveness, the sacred, and the power of wonder. Using spiral-bound heavy cardstock pages, this unique book stands on its own, inviting reflection on whatever reminder you choose to display.

Praise for Ten by Twenty:

“I worked in a high stress job for years and when Ten by Twenty came out, I opened a copy on my desk to view each day. Changing the page every few days reminded me to stop and pay attention to my breath and my thoughts. Several of my co-workers asked about the book and soon they, too, had it displayed in their work areas.” — Cathryn

”I cherish this lovely book with its simple, poignant words of wisdom accompanied by soft artwork on each page. It is a perfect gift. I have given it as inspiration for a teacher, or comfort for a grieving family. The twenty simple words are timeless.” — Debra Potter Schmit

“This book has become one of my touchpoints for sustainable self care. There is a beautiful simplicity in having a consistent tool for a focus and an anchoring. I'm thankful for the tool that is Ten By Twenty and the opportunity it provides to both do a self/spirit check and refocus on what is important.” — Alison Feigh

Caring for a family member with a serious illness left me with little time for meditation or contemplative exercises, however well intended. This book, with its quiet voice, didn’t intimidate me. It gave me a few hints to deal with whatever was happening at a given time—and helped me move forward.” — Kathy

Ten by Twenty is available on Etsy for $17.00 plus tax.

Psalm for All Seasons

by Dianne M. Del Giorno

In poetic segments paired with simple but beautiful watercolor images by LouAnn Hoppe, Psalm for All Seasons moves a reader through the ever-changing seasons of the year, noting the presence of the Divine in each stage of beauty and challenge. The last half of the poem, complemented by more abstract images, moves to the soul’s inward seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter, again emphasizing the ever-near divine presence. Throughout the book, this presence is named or addressed only and intimately as “You.” There is a timeless affirmation as the psalm ends: “Always and in all ways, You are there. Always, in the cool and calm of evening, Always in the early morning semi-light . . . Your hands—compassion and grace universal; my life, your thumbprint—blessed, eternal.”

This 5 by 8 spiral book is printed on 21 high quality cardstock pages. It can be used as a prayer practice: a slow, contemplative read followed by a choice to stand the book open and reflect on a particular page. Set in large type, it can also be read to or with those for whom reading has become difficult due to illness or eyesight diminishment. The book has accompanied families during hospice, being shared with the dying and left opened to their page of choice for quiet comfort each day. It is a soothing gift in difficult times, a caring reminder that we are never alone.

Psalm for All Seasons is available on Etsy for $17.00 plus tax.

Sudden Nightfall, Quiet Sunrise: Sharings on Loss and Love

by Dianne M. Del Giorno

In accessible poems and brief prose passages, Sudden Nightfall maps the arc of grieving in five sections: Grief Descends, Chaos Threatens, Courage Emerges, Healing Deepens, Joy Rises. Pieces in each section offer striking imagery and metaphor to relate both pain and healing, panic and courage, fear and resilience. Readers are invited to begin in any part of the book, selecting "pieces that ask to be companions" as they sift loss and love in their individual search for hope and meaning. This book is suitable both for group study and for individual meditation.

Praise for Sudden Nightfall, Quiet Sunrise:

Sudden Nightfall, Quiet Sunrise is a beautiful exploration of the wide range of raw emotion that accompanies the loss of a loved one, particularly a spouse or partner. At times Sudden Nightfall is open and vulnerable, at times tender, at times it dips into the fear, bewilderment, and even anger that such a loss can bring. In any stage of the grieving process, Sudden Nightfall offers the reminder and hope that though we must each find our own way through the journey of loss, we do not walk alone.” — The Rev. Jennifer S. McNally

“Through moving poetry, metaphor and imagery, Dianne Del Giorno invites grieving people to explore their new reality, life without their beloved. She guides us through the most common aspects of grief: sadness, fear, anger, and chaos. Finally, she leads us to a place where we can imagine courage as a way  to move forward. She offers hope and a glimmer of what life can be when we are ready to move beyond the despair of the darkest days.” — The Rev. Bob Furniss Chaplain, Lakeview Hospital & Hospice

“As the Sacred Psalms express our deepest longings, hopes and dreams, so too, I consider Sudden Nightfall, Quiet Sunrise inspired text for those who have experienced loss or trauma, those who feel overcome by emptiness and grief. Through her poignant poetry and prose, Dianne Del Giorno speaks to the core of one’s being using metaphor and imagery that opens the heart toward authentic reflection, transformation, and new perspectives. Sudden Nightfall, Quiet Sunrise is an excellent addition to an individual’s meditative practice, as well as a meaningful resource for grief and bereavement support groups looking for inspiration and hope.”  — Mary C. Vidas, FCM, FTP,CHTP, SDI, Celebrant, Family Trauma Specialist, Chaplain, Spiritual Director, Minneapolis

One Coin Found: How God’s Love Stretches to the Margins

by Emmy Kegler

Emmy Kegler has a complicated relationship with the Bible. As a queer woman who grew up in both conservative Evangelical and progressive Protestant churches, she knows too well how Scripture can be used to wound and exclude. And yet, the stories of Scripture continue to captivate and inspire her—both as a person of faith and as a pastor to a congregation. So she set out to fall in love with the Bible, wrestling with the stories inside, where she met a God who continues to seek us out—appearing again and again as a voice, a presence, and a promise.

Whenever we are pushed to the edges, our voices silenced, or our stories dismissed, God goes out after us—seeking us until we are found again. And God is seeking out those whose voices we too quickly silence and dismiss, too. Because God's story is a story of welcome and acceptance for everyone—no exceptions.

This theological memoir shows us that even when we feel like lost and dusty coins—rusted from others' indifference, misspent and misused—God picks up a broom and sweeps every corner of creation to find us.

Praise for One Coin Found:

“This book nourished me in ways I didn’t expect, inviting this lifelong church nerd to see stories from the Bible in fresh, startling ways." — Rachel Held Evans, author of Inspired and Searching for Sunday.

"In One Coin Found, Emmy Kegler tells us a story about struggling with mental illness, wrestling with faith, and rejecting human rejection in favor of God's infuriating grace. Her questions, her vulnerability, and her skill as a storyteller invite us into a place where we can be honest about who we are and be loved for it. One Coin Found provides that space for everyone, but especially for those of us who identify as LGBTQIA. This book is a balm for weary souls." — Austen Hartke, author of Transforming: The Bible and the Lives of Transgender Christians

"What Emmy Kegler accomplishes in One Coin Found is stunning in its brilliance and subtle in its goals. By taking you through her journey with Christ, she invites you to take a look at your own journey. The real idea you are left with at the end is that if the Jesus you have isn't liberating good news for queer folk, then it may not be Jesus at all. It makes this book a must read for anyone who wants to ponder the church's place in the twenty-first century." — Rev. Lenny Duncan, Pastor/Developer, Jehu's Table, and author of Dear Church: A Love Letter from a Black Preacher to the Whitest Denomination in the US
